DHL is an international leader in transport and logistics. In order to support their development, our client is currently looking to recruit a Deputy Billing Operations Manager based in Vilvoorde, who will coordinate the accurate and on-time billing of large and complex major customers on a regional scale.

Reporting to the Customer Accounting Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

- Coordination of billing activities to optimise customer services with a focus on efficiency, quality and lowest cost;

- Collaboration with VAT specialists to provide the most fiscally efficient solutions including optimisation of customer cash flow;

- Coordination of a revenue accruals process to ensure that month-end financial reporting is executed accurately and in due time;

- Participation to ad-hoc projects such as implementations, contract revisions and system developments;

- Participation to customer meetings and representation of billing in ISO / Quality / process improvement related initiatives;

- Development of detailed knowledge of the customer portfolio to assist Team Leaders in the resolving of issues;

- Responsible for monitoring the completeness of customs duties billing;

- Support the Program Management Director on customer solution monitoring;

- Work closely with Account Management to ensure awareness of issues concerning existing
customers;

- Liaison with Customers, DHL & non DHL Suppliers, Tax advisors and Auditors;

- Act as a back up of the Customer Accounting Manager.


The successful candidate has a Master degree combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance environment as well as an audit/process improvement environment. Ideally, he/she has an insight VAT and has an experience in billing. Fluency in English is required.

The ideal candidate is hands on, well-structured, flexible, stress resistant and able to meet deadlines. He/she demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide sound judgement on data analysis and a business context. He/she understands the controls needed in a billing environment and displays a strong service and customer orientation combined with a focus on quality. In addition, the ideal candidate takes initiative and has solid communication and influencing skills.
