With significant global assets, this mining powerhouse is currently seeking to expand its current senior management team and future executive talent. With a focus on attracting individuals who embrace change and want to make a real contribution to the business, there is now an exciting opportunity for a SHE Manager to join the organisation, based on site in Regional Queensland.
About the Role
With a global focus on the successful implementation of a zero harm safety culture, the Australian business unit is leading the way in terms of safety improvements. As the SHE Manager you will work closely with the Site General Manager and executive leadership team to continue to drive improvements in SHE performance across a multi site operation, including both underground and open cut mines. Leading a team of specialists, you will act as a key influencer and change agent to ensure full implementation of, and compliance to, both global and local safety strategies.
Skills / Requirements
As the successful candidate you will demonstrate a successful career with exposure across both underground and open cut mining environments. With a focus on the achievement of a behavioural based safety culture, you will demonstrate the ability to drive best practice and continuous improvement in line with business objectives and set KPIs. A strong commercial approach, coupled with sound technical knowledge, relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to successfully negotiate with key stakeholders is essential to succeed in this challenging and rewarding position.
