CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Our client is a worldwide leading company from the luxury sector.
In order to accompany the growth of its Spanish subsidiary, our client is looking for an International Chief Accountant.
The accountant will be reporting to the Finance Director of Southern Europe.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Provide financial information to Management based in France
- Ensure compliance of the Spanish entity with all direct and indirect taxes
- Finalize financial accounting records for the Spanish entity according to IFRS and Spanish accounting principles.
- Follow-up of the Auxiliary Accounting and the General Accounting
- Follow-up of the renewal of the company cars, of the company phones
- In charge of relations with Banks and Insurance companies
- Daily main responsibilities include: Treasury, bank reconciliations, InterCompany relations, payment to suppliers, cash collection, VAT Declaration, taxes and auditors, Group reporting.
- Opportunities to develop the career offering managerial position and new evolution within an international environment.
- Will be assisted by one accounting assistant.
Requirements
- Good English level
- Used to work in multinational environment.
- At least 3 years experience in Accounting facing Spanish GAAP, IFRS.
- Good SAP knowledge
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving and demanding environment.
- Able to multi-task, identify improvements and work under pressures of deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
- The candidate must be polyvalent, well organized, autonomous and willing to work with a "start up" spirit.
The position is based in Madrid.
