Our client has been active in the aircraft leasing business on a global basis and it established an operation in Ireland as a core functional entity for the growth of this business in the long term.
A Technical Director is required to take care of the groups aircraft lease activities primarily in Europe, Africa and Middle East.
Responsibilities
Support the Sales/Marketing division at MCAP group on the technical aspects of the aircraft leasing transactions. This includes technical analysis in support of the proposed transaction, review and negotiations of technical sections of term sheets, and full lease/purchase agreements
Provide technical expertise to MCAP Group for the economic evaluation of potential portfolio purchases and sales
Act as program manager for the redelivery of aircraft located in Europe returning from current lease and delivery of these aircraft to the new lessee
Review and approve requests for reimbursement from Maintenance Reserves for Airframe, Landing Gears maintenance events, with the specific goal of minimizing reserve reimbursement while still maintaining good Lessor-Lessee relationship
Update standardized book of Airframe maintenance reserves rates or maintenance adjustments rates for narrow-body aircraft
Become focal point of knowledge with respect to EASA rules and regulations, which may affect MCAP's transaction of business
For new aircraft purchases from Boeing or Airbus, provide the technical expertise for selection of aircraft option and BFE/SPE equipment
Requirements
Experience in aircraft sales/leasing from a technical viewpoint
Established relationships with potential airline customers
Knowledge of aircraft sales/lease term sheets/contracts
Knowledge of aircraft technical matters
Knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations pertaining to transfer of Aircraft and associated records
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Willingness to travel internationally
Flexible and facilitative
Attention to detail
Ability to establish and build relationships with others
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High standard of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail required
Ability to prioritise and work within deadlines
Ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure
Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) to at least an intermediate level
Work experience in a company with international operations
Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision
Multiple language skills would be an advantage
Knowledge of aircraft engines
