Working for the Regulatory Reporting team of a global Investment Bank, you will be responsible for the production of all UK FSA Regulatory Reporting of capital adequacy (RWA) and large exposures. The successful candidate will be responsible lead for this function and will be supported by two AVPs.
Main roles and responsibilities:
·Provide a primary contact point for business queries regarding RWAs
·Attendance at all capital management working group meetings and specific business workshops
·Highlight production dependencies in reaching budgeted numbers to Treasury and the Front Office
·To provide regular updates on capital management progress to stakeholders
·Identify opportunities for capital optimisation and oversee the implementation of all RWA optimisation initiatives requiring Finance involvement, with appropriate cross-departmental collaboration
·Manage the production of macro trend analysis, stress testing and ad hoc analysis requests
·2 direct reports
·Review of all detailed analysis conducted by the AVP’s:
oPresenting the macro RWA trend analysis and stress testing to senior management
oThe above will require the individual to understand the businesses of the group, have good product knowledge and a detailed understanding of regulatory rules and reporting requirements
Key skills and experience required:
·University Degree or Equivalent
·Accounting qualification (CIMA or ACA or ACCA, or overseas equivalent)
·A strong understanding of investment banking, with day to day experience of FSA regulatory reporting, or in a capital management function with detailed understanding of technical regulatory rules
·Experience managing and coaching staff.
·Front Office liaison experience
