Our client is a privately-held company that works with banks, financial institutions, and corporate partners around the world to offer integrated secure mobile payment solutions. They are seeking a highly-qualified solicitor to support the corporate and commercial operations of our rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities will include:
•Supporting the commercial aspects of the business by negotiating and drafting complex cross-border agreements with banks, financial institutions and other corporate partners
•Advising internal clients and negotiating with third parties with respect to key vendor and outsourcing agreements
•Coordinating and conducting legal research into the laws and regulations affecting products and services in strategic jurisdictions
•Supporting the Chief Legal Officer’s duties as company secretary for group companies and serving as assistant company secretary
•Instructing and managing outside counsel to ensure cost effective and strategic legal advice
•Drafting policies and procedures to position the company for future growth
•Reviewing marketing materials and press releases
•Providing first-line practical, commercial and best-practice legal advice to business units at all levels within the organisation
•Assisting in the maintenance of the company’s intellectual property portfolio
•Assisting in the provision of training to internal clients
The successful candidate will ideally have a Legal qualification in an EU or US jurisdiction with excellent academic results or training in a top-tier private practice environment. Candidates with exposure to general commercial, corporate, company secretary or cross-border work are preferred. You may also have exposure to global anti-money laundering regulations and ideally have 4+ years post-qualification experience in general corporate and commercial legal work. You may have experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and have demonstrated the ability to work well in a team and independently. It would also be advantageous if you have experience within financial services or an in-house environment.
