Our client is a leading Financial Services business with a truly global reach, offering corporate and institutional clients the full product suite of financial services.
The client is looking to hire a Head of Financial Reporting for their legal entities business within London and Europe. The position itself is within the Corporate Reporting and Control department and the hire will be a senior Vice president who will be responsible for a team of 15 based in London.
In addition to management of the team this candidate will be responsible for senior management review and commentary for the financial information for the European entities. The financials will be presented monthly and quarterly to the Board and Executive Management Committee. Furthermore the role will provide the opportunity to interact with different areas of the business at a high level.
Moreover this hire will have a strong project focus dealing with a Global Ledger implementation as well as development of support staff in India and quarterly SOX reviews.
The ideal candidate will hold a professional accountancy qualification or equivalent. They are required to have very strong management experience as well as strong commercial and business acumen, and come from a consistent background from financial reporting. The ability to initiate change and be results focused in a pressurized environment is also important. Communication will also be key in order to face off to a broad range of key stakeholders.
