This hugely successful European animation producer has created a number of internationally popular television cartoons and a corresponding range of licensed merchandise. The company has recently established a Hong Kong office to manage the manufacturing of fashion dolls and ensure high quality products are produced and distributed to their enthusiastic fans.
Reporting to executive management, this pivotal role will be the primary contact with head office and for clients referred by the international sales division. You will provide leadership to the small Hong Kong team in all areas including vendor and production management, finance and HR. The General Manager will have an intimate knowledge of the toy production process from concept to delivery, in particular for fashion dolls, and be able to deliver exceptional products at a competitive price.
Key Requirements:
at least eight to ten years' demonstrable success in a high pressure and demanding toy manufacturing / sourcing environment
a strong vendor and contact database, excellent negotiation skills and creative in ways of reducing product pricing
process driven, but flexible enough to recommend and adapt to change
a long term vision to help build the company
fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
