One of the largest Australian buying office with essential brands is seeking for a high calibre candidate to manage a footwear team.
Responsibilities:
lead and coach the merchandising team on order management
provide timely solutions to customer enquiries
coordinate with various parties to ensure on-time delivery
vendor management: including new vender sourcing and evaluation, driving the factories for quality production and on time shipment
ensure a seamless co-ordination with internal colleagues related to production and development issues
anticipate problems, offer solutions, develop strategies and address issues within the product process
Requirements:
a minimum of eight years experience in Sourcing, Product Development, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, preferably from Footwear industries in China and Asia; at least three years' in management role
knowledge of trade regulations and testing protocols, product integrity, product cycle timeline, shoe manufacturing experience
demonstrated track record in improving operating efficiencies, streamlining operations, leveraging buying power and maximising business synergies
successful track record for establishing strong vendor relationships, performing high-level negotiations and selecting suppliers
significant knowledge of Quality Principles
must have experience developing and improving operation processes
excellent communications skills
based in Hong Kong with significant travel to China
