Our client currently has approximately €7bn in funds under management and their investors include private clients, family partnerships, pension and retirement funds, charities and trusts.

Personal attention is central to meeting their investors’ needs and they believe it is important to provide this face-to-face. Communication between the investor and the investment manager is offered through a network of offices in Ireland, the UK and Channel Islands.

The Role

To provide investment advice and/or investment management services to private and/or institutional customers of the firm in accordance with their individual circumstances and investment objectives.

Responsibilities

• To assess existing and potential clients' circumstances, investment objectives and attitude to risk, and recommend appropriate professional services as relevant
• To ensure that all client relationships are properly documented and all required information is obtained from the client on a timely basis, ensuring where relevant that "Know Your Client" information is maintained up-to-date and properly documented.
• To provide investment advice appropriate to the client's needs, and in compliance with all relevant rules, regulations and in-house policies and procedures
• To attend the Morning Meeting and participate as relevant in the various other aspects of the firm’s investment selection process
• To provide clients and/or their agents with such information and reports about their investment transactions, income payments and investment performance as requested and/or specified in the terms and conditions of the relevant service
• To assist in the training and development of trainee investment managers, providing support and guidance where relevant
• To liaise as required with the Head of Branch in initiating and developing new business opportunities
• An ability to get out and prospect for new business and develop new client and intermediary business relationships is essential

Requirements

• Educated to a standard at least equivalent to UK Graduate level
• Professional qualifications as specified by the relevant regulatory authority
• Experience in an investment management or similar environment
• Flexibility to work unusual hours on occasion and when required
• Established portfolio of clients within the high net worth arena
