Treasury Systems Accountant

Quoted on the ASX, this business is one of Australia's most established companies. It is organisationally complex given its diversity of operations and its appetite for acquisition and joint ventures. As a consequence of some internal restructuring, it is now seeking to appoint a Treasury Systems Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- All accounting and management reporting for treasury products to complete month-end, half-year and full-year end accounting
- IAS39/hedge accounting will be a key part of this role, as will liaising with the Business CFOs and external auditors
- Work with a project team to assist in specifying the accounting functionality including IAS39 requirements of a new treasury system
- Post implementation of the new system, your brief will evolve to one that encapsulates more analysis with a greater emphasis on risk reporting
Key Requirements:
- Professionally qualified, with over five years' experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in either a large ASX listed corporate or relevant experience within a 'Big 4' chartered firm
- Comprehensive experience of hedge accounting and IAS39 compliance
- Treasury systems experience beyond simply being an end-user is key for this role, as is advanced Excel
- Good communication and relationship building will be critical, as will be your ability to be thorough, hands-on and self-directed
