Visa information
You must have an employment pass before you can be employed for work in Singapore. To apply for an employment pass, you will need a local sponsor, which is usually the company that is employing you. Typically, these will take two to four weeks to process. If your application is successful, your employment pass will usually be valid from 12 to 24 months and same for subsequent renewal.
The fee is S$30 per year or part thereof. You will receive a stamp on your passport and your employment pass. Once you have collected your employment pass, you may commence employment. Difficulty can arise if the applicant does not have a formal degree education or work experience.
