Robert Walters Donates to Local Orphanage

27 February 2024.

Senior leaders from Robert Walters recently visited a local orphanage in Cancun, Mexico – to donate a range of technology and educational resources as part of its strategy to help power the unique potential of individuals all around the world.

With a presence in Mexico spanning 5 years, the organisation wanted to maintain its commitment to giving back to the communities in which it operates.
Robert Walters donated 16 laptops, along with accompanying electronics and cases, to the orphanage - which is home to 22 girls between the ages of 4 and 17.

These laptops will provide the girls with access to technology, opening up new opportunities for learning and personal development.
Furthermore, Robert Walters purchased essential school supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, and further stationery essentials, ensuring that each child has the necessary tools to excel academically. In addition to educational resources, the company also provided gifts, hair accessories, and craft kits to the girls, promoting creativity, well-being, and personal expression.

Toby Fowlston – CEO of Robert Walters comments:

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to support the local community in Cancun and make a difference in the lives of these girls. At Robert Walters, we are committed to providing resources that empower individuals to reach their full potential. We are proud to contribute to the well-being and future success of these children."

This initiative is part of Robert Walters' ongoing ESG projects around the world, which include collaborations with Global Angels in Kenya. Through their partnership with Global Angels since 2017, Robert Walters has played an active role in helping to build a thriving community in what is one of the country’s driest regions – where the local people live in extreme poverty.

Each year, Robert Walters send eight volunteers to Tsavo to work with the Itinyi Valley community, building critical pieces of infrastructure to support sustainable farming and provide access to clean drinking water.
